Final Piece

Through out the process of making this piece i learnt and experienced a lot of things , such as trying to solder a lot of small pieces together without damaging it , i learnt that flame control plays a huge role in a jewellers life and that one mistake could mess up all your work , although it did not come out exactly as i expected i am quiet pleased with the outcome.

My design consists of many layers and pieces therefore a lot of piercing and soldering had to be done .

Cannatille Piece Design Process

I started my design process by drawing a face of a lion and and breaking it down into multiple parts which would make it easier to find the elements i want to use.

My design also includes features of a clown, which are high lighted in the drawing above

These tear drop shapes are one of the most used elements that i found and they are meant to represent the lions hair.

Cannatille Piece Inspiration

My inspiration comes from circus animals , specifically Lions. I chose this as my source becouse animals play a huge role in the circus becouse wild animals are trained to do things they would never do on their own which is very entertaining to the audience.

Rocket Boots

The Rocket boots were built using Converse sneakers , bottle caps , aluminim and parts of  a computer hardrive .

The  Rocket boots also have wings , which helps the super hero stear into the direction he wants to go.

It also has devices such as the GPRS to track the Rocket boots amd a Bluetooth.

Xov’udaka  / X

X is a South African super hero who is originally from Durban Kwazulu Natal . X was raised by a single mother under terrible conditions. X grew up  in a area with a very high crime rate and the highest death rate in Africa . when he was 6 he witnessed his 1^st murder and on that day he decided that when he grows up he will fight crime for a living. Growing up he was bullied a lot because he wasn’t like other children, he was special. Unlike most children X likes reading , learning new stuff and most of all he loved science. As a teenager X was well known for inventing things and fixing technical stuff. One day X felt inspired by a super hero he had watched and decided to become the 1^st South African super hero , the 1^st thing he built were Rocket shoes which would help him when chasing bad guys or escaping from tough situations. X was not born with no super powers so he uses his gadgets to help him fight crime and help the community. X loved to fight crime but in the world of heroism it’s a very lonely landscape. On his quest to save the day, as always he told himself he was going to look for a friend, a friend who understood him, a friend who was altruistic like him, a friend who was enigmatic like him most of all a friend who was special like him. Until that day came he came across a super hero who was wearing the same rocket shoes as him. X went over to him decided to conversate with this alike super hero. They there on started working together and made the world a better place.
